Since March, 2006, more
than 175 Charlies have found the good life!
It takes a nationwide network
of caring volunteers and adopters, together with a sizeable bank account, to
make a difference in the lives of these little dogs. Thank you

She is no longer just a cage number.
She is now a little girl with a name, a little girl with her own soft
bed to lie in, a little girl whose life has immeasurable value because
of who she is, not because of the number of puppies she can produce for
the commercial breeding industry.
This little girl's miserable, neglected life took
a dramatic turn for the better thanks to the efforts of HSUS,
Best Friends Organization, the Humane Society of Parkersburg, WV, and
countless rescue organizations that were called in to help with the
1,000 dogs confiscated from Whispering Oaks, a
puppy mill in Parkersburg.
The gratitude of the rescued 35 English Toy Spaniels was apparent in the
tentative wagging tails that greeted volunteers who ministered to them
during their brief stay at HSOP's make-shift shelter, a warehouse in an
industrial area of Parkersburg.
While the loving touches they now receive are foreign, they are
nonetheless welcomed and appreciated. It will take some time for most
of these kids to trust. It will take time for them to realize that the
human hands that minister to them now represent hands of hope and bright
futures.
English Toy Spaniel Rescue took in every one of the WV English Toys.
These 35 English Toys have been transported to various areas of the
country where they will receive thorough vetting before going into
foster care. Please check back to see the appreciative faces of all
these rescues and to find the little one that might fit perfectly into
your waiting family.
In the meantime, please open your pocketbooks and
give generously to help pay the vet expenses on these 35 deserving
English Toys. As you can imagine, the vet bill will be astronomical.

The English Toy Spaniel Rescue is a not-for-profit organization, dedicated to rescuing abused dogs from puppy mills and cruel situations. Some times dogs are turned over to us just because the owners can no longer keep them for one reason or another.
These dogs are given medical attention and
placed in foster homes so you can be sure of adopting a loving pet. All medical information will be provided with each adoption.
We are currently applying for 501(c)(3) status.
We are currently in dire need of help throughout the U.S. If you are interested in helping acclimate a new
rescue to home life and preparing him to find his perfect forever home, please

or simply fill out an online application and let us know you would like to
foster. If you can help us transport these special dogs to foster homes or
adoptive homes, please email and let us know that, too!
If you are not in a position to foster, adopt
or transport one of these delightful little dogs,
but would like to help us in our mission, we would appreciate a donation. Your donations are very important
to these little dogs, they pay for medical costs, transport fees, etc.
