When you meet adorable David, you might think he is a living teddy bear! Although shy and reserved at first, David is a cuddlebug who loves to give his foster mom hugs and kisses. He gets along fine with cats and other dogs. He is shy but friendly with others in public settings such as the dog park. Sudden movements and loud noises can startle him, so he would be happiest in a quiet and calm environment. David loves to run in his fenced yard. Yes, a FENCED yard...David is an escape artist and even though he walks nicely on a leash, a secure, fenced yard is an absolute requirement. David is 4-1/2 years young, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations, heartworm, and flea preventative. He has a very cute face and a beautiful thick, curly coat. His ears were trimmed short because he used to live with a dog that chewed on his ears and matted them. Now, his ears are growing out...and David LOVES to be brushed and pampered! David would be ok as an only dog, but he enjoys having a small buddy or two to run around the yard with. Since he is presently a little overweight, having another small doggy pal to romp with would be good. If you don't already have a canine best friend, check out some of the other sweethearts at English Toy Spaniel Rescue and consider adopting two! David is being fostered in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale, Florida area. Please complete an online application and then e-mail debby.bradford@yahoo.com for more information. |
